BETWEEN CALM AND PASSION 냉정과 열정 사이

Some of you may recognize this still image from Japanese movie, 'Between Calm and Passion.' Haha, yes, we will talk about between calm and passion this coming Saturday, June 7th. It won't be about the actual movie story (sorry..), it'll be about space inbetween us, believers of Christ, and this world. I named it according to the movie title, because I think the name fits to our topic we will discuss about. It will be great! Hope to see you guys this Saturday.

The End of Isaiah Series

Two weeks ago, we had finished a long journey of sharing the Isaiah series. It was such a long series that had been about 70 weeks. We started this series at Saturday Worship to motivate ourselves to view this world and generation with God's compassion. I look back those 70 weeks which is a little more than a year, many things happened in Worship Studio, there were some achievements but also some failures. In some aspects, I thank God for His wonderful leads, but also I regret that we sometimes lost our focus and purpose on Isaiah series. While we share Isaiah, I personally felt God's distress over our generation and Los Angeles that motivated by His burning compassion, and how he is sincerely there for each of us everyday weather we can feel and recognize or not. I hope Worship Studio's pioneering journey as a worshiper and as an artist, continues on upon God's calling for His kingdom and glory. In June, we will wrap up our very first animated short film, and continue Saturday Worship with short series. I want to close this with the prayer from Isaiah 63.

Look down from heaven and see from your lofty throne, holy and glorious

Where are your zeal and your might?

Your tenderness and compassion are withheld from us.

But you are our Father,

though Abraham does not know us or Isarel acknowledge us;

you, O Lord, are our Father

our Redeemer form of old is your name.

Three Years Old

Worship Studio is now three years old! I was sweeping our floor for clean up last Saturday, and I realized that there are so many dusts. Somehow, I was very thankful to God about it, because those dusts are speaking the proof of how much time has been passed in Worship Studio upon the grace of God. Many hardships and troubles may come along in the future as well as before, but I hope Worship Studio may continues the journey with Christ to fill whole world with the glory of God.

Happy New Year. Even though, it sounds a little late to say, I wish everyone of you would have a great and wonderful year again! haha. Worship Studio continues to journey like a pioneer and a frontier. I haven't really updated this blog last year, but this year I would try to update the blog as new things come up in Worship Studio.

We are still working on our first project, an animation film for revival. We are working hard butt off. =) We hope to complete it and present it in Spring, 2008.

Completed scenes are indicated by post-its.

New iMac is surely driving us fast enough to work on.

I've had a very special opportunity to meet Rev. David E. Ross (Oh Dae Won) at last retreat from my church. He and his family went to Korea as a missionary when he was only 25 years old in 70's. He was a first founder of YWAM in Korea. It was really honor to meet him, and the story of how he has spent his life for Jesus, was touched and inspired me a lot. His book, 'The Meditating Christian' is available at any Christian Book Store.

Praise Night for Teenagers
